Postgraduate Scholarships in France

The International Scholarship Program of the Ecole Normale Supérieure de Cachan is aimed at foreign students who are currently studying or have studied and obtained their most recent qualification outside of France. This programme is aimed at students in their final year of a Masters degree as well as PhD levels. The grant amounts to 1000 euros/month, for a duration of stay of 6 to 12 months. Payment Information

The value of this scholarship is XPF1000 (maximum per month). This award is to be used for living expenses. This scholarship is paid monthly for the period of 1 year.

MBA Scholarships at INSEAD

Two scholarships will be awarded per class and candidates for this scholarship will need to demonstrate: (a) outstanding academic achievement and promise (b) aptitude for business and financial management (c) leadership potential and (d) a commitment to contributing to their country or region at some point in the future. 

Eligibility:

Candidates must be a national of an emerging economy and have spent a substantial part of their lives in the developing world, in education and/or professional experience. Experience in industry will be considered a plus. Preference will be given to candidates who require proven financial assistance. 

Essay topic :

1).Briefly discuss the requirements for successful business leadership in your country today. Describe how you envisage contributing to the future development of your country after graduation and why you should be considered for this award. (200 words)
2).Briefly discuss measures required for sustainable agriculture in your country/region in the context of urban and rural development. Focus on what you consider to be the most important element (450 words)
3).Provide a concise but accurate description of your financial circumstances as well as a cash flow forecast for the year at INSEAD (details of income set against expenditures).
Amount of Award:

€22,500

11 February for the July class
18 August for the December class

Scholarships in France for Pakistani Students

The French Embassy in Pakistan aims to help the development of cooperation between French and Pakistani students / scientific organisations, engaged in R&D programs of all the scientific and technology fields. In this framework, the French Embassy in Pakistan has launched a new program for research mobility.

This fellowship program is intended for highly qualified Pakistani doctoral and postdoctoral students and offers them an excellent opportunity to do research in France.

Deadline : 30 Sep 2009
Types of Fellowships Two types of fellowships are available:
TYPE A: Sandwich (split) PhD:
TARGET GROUP : Doctoral students
FELLOWSHIP OBJECTIVE : Part of thesis work in France
FUNDING TERM : 6 months
FELLOWSHIP GRANT : 767 €/month + travel + insurance
TYPE B: Post-Doctoral
TARGET GROUP : Post-doctoral students
FELLOWSHIP OBJECTIVE : Research in France
FUNDING TERM : 3 to 6 months
FELLOWSHIP GRANT : 1300 €/month + travel + insurance

General Rules At the time of their application, candidates for Sandwich PhD and
Post-Doctoral fellowship must :
a.) prove their excellent study and research achievements, have registered for PhD in a Pakistani university/ institute or have already a PhD degree, have an acceptance letter from a French host,
b.) be at most 35 years for Type A or at most 40 for Type B applications.

Result announcement : December 2009
Starting date of the fellowship : March 2010 onwards
