Undergraduate Scholarships at University of Manchester

This is a joint-honours degree programme with the world-renowned Manchester Business School, where both disciplines are given equal weight. It develops not only your mathematical and statistical skills, but also explores the managerial context in which these skills can be effectively deployed. Mathematical ability is complemented by computing, statistical and management skills, carefully balanced to combine practical work with the latest theoretical principles. You can choose to do a final year project on a mathematical topic supervised by a member of staff.

The study of Mathematics develops skills and knowledge which are of value in a wide variety of professions. A Mathematics-related degree is a good preparation for any area of employment requiring people who can think clearly and logically. This degree programme has very good career prospects in mathematics, management, and a wide variety of openings in the business world. English language:All entrants must have a recognised English language qualification, such as GCSE grade C or better, IELTS with an overall score of at least 6.5 (including a writing score of at least 6.0 and no other component less than 5.5) or an equivalent qualificationScholarships and BursariesThe School of Mathematics offers a generous range of scholarships for both home and overseas applicants.

For students paying fees at the overseas rate, there are International Mathematics Scholarships worth £2,000 for each year of study for all those who satisfy the mathematical component of their entrance requirement. There are also up to ten International Mathematical Excellence Scholarships for international applicants who have demonstrated overall academic excellence; these awards, which replace those above, are worth £4,000 for each year of study.
