ITRI Graduate Scholarship Program (PhD)

The ITRI Graduate Scholarship Program offersforeign MS degree holders a comprehensive 4-year scholarship to pursue their Ph.D. in Taiwan, while joining collaborative research projectsbetween Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) and twooutstanding science and technology universities, National Chiao-TungUniversity (NCTU) and National Tsing-Hua University (NTHU).

What does this Program Offer?
Monthly scholarship of NT$30,000(~US$900).
Full tuition fees during the Ph.D. studies.
Additional research stipend when participating in dissertation research projects at ITRI.
Employment opportunity at ITRI after graduation.

Thisprogram extends the scholarship and tuition offer to eligible studentsup to 4 years depending on annual review of academic performance.Students failing to meet academic standards as required by partneruniversities will lose eligibility for this offer.

Eligibility for Application
Proof of foreign citizenship¡E Proof of a Master degree or equivalent¡E Graduate GPA of at least 3.4 or equivalent academic performance
TOEFL (if applicable) score of 550 or above for paper -based test (213 for computer-based test).
Forthe GRE comprised of Verbal, Quantitative, and Analytical sections, atotal score of 1650 or above is required. For the new GRE versioncomprised of Verbal, Quantitative, and Analytical. Writing sections, aminimum of 400 is required on Verbal, 650 on Quantitative, and 3.5 onAnalytical Writing.

ITRI Graduate Scholarship Program -
Master's Degree program is similar to the PhD program except that the scholarship provided is for Bachelor's Degree holdersto study for a Master¡¦s Degree (MS). Scholarship is provided for 2years of study in a Master program at National Chiao Tung Universityor National Tsing Hua University, in exchange for a work commitment toITRI following graduation of 2 years.

What does this Program Offer?
Scholarship NT$360,000 per year.
Additional research stipend when participating in dissertation research projects at ITRI
Employment commitment to ITRI for 2 years after graduation

Thescholarship offer to eligible students up to 2 years (MS degree) is contingent on annual review of academic performance. Scholarshipholders failing to meet academic standards as required by partneruniversities may lose eligibility for this scholarship. Students mustnot apply for other scholarships for overseas students provided bytheir school or other institute.

Training Program at ITRI¡E Individual Research Advisor appointed by ITRI to assist and guide the coursework and thesis.¡E Internship opportunity at ITRI for project executing and acquiring practical experience.Eligibility for Scholarship¡E Applicantsmust have excellent academic performance and moral character, and maynot hold Republic of China (Taiwan) nationality nor be classed asoverseas Chinese students.¡E Engineering, Technology Management, or related majors, Bechelor or Master degree.¡E Academic record and English ability must meet standards for university applied to.
