Scholarships in Japan by Shundou International Foundation

Self-supporting international students with nationalities other than Japanese, coming to Japan to study, and enrolled in the master’s or doctoral course of the graduate school (includes those who will be enrolled in the master’s or doctoral course in April 2009).
Requirements for Candidates:
Excellent academic record, good personality, and health.
Willingness for contribution to international understanding and friendship.
Those receiving a scholarship or will receive a scholarship are not eligible to apply.
Under 30 years of age for master’s students and under 32 years of age for doctoral students as of April 1, 2009.
Scholarship amount per month: 100,000 Yen
Scholarship granted for a period: Within 12 months from April 2009 to March 2010. (Scholarship for April and May will be provided in May)
Deadline: Apply until February 10, 2009
Applicants are expected to abide by the deadline and submit application on time.
Selection result will be notified to the university and applicants after documents screening and interview (held at the end of April 2009).
