Postgraduate Research Scholarships at Warwick Graduate School, UK
-The payment of academic fees at the Home/EU rate (£3,466 for full-time students in 2010-11)
-A maintenance grant in line with the UK Research Council stipend (£13,590 for full-time award holders in 2010-11)

Applicants for a full-time doctoral course at the University of Warwick, expecting to begin in Autumn 2011.
Students currently enrolled on a three-year full-time PhD or MPhil/PhD (in the case of the Faculties of Arts, Medicine and Social Science), at the University of Warwick may apply in the first year of their registration only.
University of Warwick students currently registered on a “1+3″ course at a Doctoral Training Centre, who are in their Master’s year and expecting to start doctoral study in 2011-12. These students will be eligible for a three-year WPRS or (if paying overseas fees) a Chancellor’s International Scholarship.
University of Warwick students currently registered on the “2+2” MPhil > PhD course in the Department of Philosophy may apply for a postgraduate research scholarship in either (or both) the first and second years of their MPhil. Students applying in the first year will be eligible for a three year WPRS or (if an overseas fees-payer) a Chancellor’s International Scholarship. Students applying in their second year will be eligible for a two year WPRS, or (if a UK or EU student) a two year AHRC doctoral award, or (if an overseas fees-payer) a Chancellor’s International Scholarship. No student will be permitted to apply for a WPRS/Chancellor’s International Scholarship on more than two occasions. UK or EU Students will be eligible to apply (via a separate process) for an AHRC Master’s award to fund their two-year MPhil.

Award

Executive MBA scholarships for Women
Eligiblity
Women who have been accepted for SEMBA 2011 and who are fully self-funding. Candidates may submit a scholarship application at the time of submitting their EMBA application, however essays will only be considered for the award if candidates have been offered and have accepted their place on the programme by the scholarship deadline.
Criteria
The scholarship will be awarded to an appropriate female candidate on the basis of future professional and leadership potential as demonstrated by the quality of the essay submitted in support of the scholarship application, and a proven track record of success, (i.e. educational and professional background) demonstrated at the EMBA application and interview stages. The Scholarship Committee will also consider the original and personal contribution to the ongoing success of the Executive MBA expressed through the essay and to which the scholarship winner will commit as an ambassador of the EMBA programme.
How to apply
You must submit the following documents:
Completed scholarship application form
A short essay of not more than 1,000 words (please supply the word count) in support of your application for the scholarship award. The topic of the essay is: 'As a female leader, please outline how you will personally support the ongoing success of the EMBA programme'.
Deadline for submission 12 noon on Monday 13 July 2009. The decision will be communicated to applicants by 17.00 on Friday 17 July 2009.
Candidates will need to have their funding in place and make all the necessary payments as outlined in the fee schedule. The full amount of the award will be deducted from the balance of the first year tuition fees for the programme.

Scholarships at Liverpool Hope University
Liverpool Hope University is pleased to announce a new scheme of international scholarships for students applying for admission to a Liverpool Hope undergraduate programme.
Criteria for Undergraduate: Applications are welcome from international students who have achieved, in aggregate, first class marks in their higher secondary education. If successful, the student will receive the £1,000 award each year, subject to satisfactory academic progress.
How applications for the Overseas Scholarships are judged: Overseas scholarships are awarded on submission of the International Scholarship Application Form and relevant supporting documentation by the Postgraduate and International Recruitment and Admissions Office.

Two scholarships are available and will fund the programme’s tuition fees, travel,

Scholarships for Masters at University of Liverpool, UK
International students who pay tuition fees at the full international rate can receive up to £2,000 in scholarships and awards. All eligible international students will automatically receive a University of Liverpool International Advancement Award worth £1,000. The Faculty of Engineering International PGT Scholarship offers a further £1,000 to each high calibre international student who registers for full-time studies leading towards the award of an MSc (Eng) or MRes degree in the Faculty of Engineering.
Successful applicants for the scholarship will be notified in writing shortly after all transcipts and certificates supporting their application have been received.
FoE International PGT Scholarship Terms and Conditions
1. Scholarships are for international students who start their studies in September 2009 and pay tuition fees at the full international rate (£11,650 for 2008/09).
2. A completed scholarship application form must be received no later than 31 August 2009.
3. Candidates must achieve a good first class honours degree or an equivalent overseas qualification in a relevant subject area (engineering or scientific subjects) and the application must be supported by good references. The grades required for the award of a scholarship may vary depending on the MSc (Eng) or MRes programme.
4. Candidates whose first degree is not from an English speaking country have to show proofs of their English language skills.
5. Successful registered candidates will receive £400 around week four of the first semester, a further £400 after successfully passing the second semester examinations with minimum overall average ≥ 60% and £200 on obtaining a minimum grade of 60% in the MSc (Eng) dissertation.
6. Scholarships awarded for September 2009 entry are not deferrable to the following year.
7. The decisions made by the scholarship awarding body in each Department will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
